Welcome!
We are so happy you’re here and can’t wait for you to meet your new best friend!
We are located in Newberry, MI and our primary mission is to provide temporary housing and care for the lost, stray and unwanted cats and dogs of Luce County, Michigan.
We provide appropriate health care for all animals who are taken in, and before becoming adoptable all of our animals are spayed or neutered. We work with multiple organizations, including PetPals and the Newberry Correctional Facility Paws for Adoption training program. We strive to be a valuable resource to our community by protecting, adopting, and returning lost animals across the Upper Peninsula!
We are proud to be a no kill shelter! No animal in our care will ever face the possibility of being destroyed while waiting for their forever home!
This is Eda, she is very playful, and her beautiful green eyes are sure to grab everyone’s attention! She is as friendly as she is cuddly. She will make a perfect playmate for other cats and children. She loves to purr and is very curious. She is not afraid to introduce herself and see what you are up to!
We welcome all the help we can get! Whether it’s a one time donation, a burning need to love on animals, or just curious about how it all works, we want to hear from you!
Our shelter is a wonderful and caring place, filled with the most loving people on the planet. But everyone needs a helping hand every now and then, and we are always accepting new volunteers!
If your schedule is packed and you don’t have spare time to give, we also have an ongoing list of necessary items, and all donations are greatly appreciated!
We now have a PayPal option for donations! Every little bit helps, please consider a donation today!

Here is our wish list of items that we use each and every day!
